Active vendors selling on Amazon today are expected to be self-sufficient and fully manage their own accounts with very little guidance. It’s assumed vendors can become self-taught Amazon experts, able to do it all — from listing products and setting up promotions, to creating Sponsored Products ads and enhanced A+ Content — all with limited training and expertise. The size and breadth of Amazon in 2022 means the days of personalised attention and assistance are over.
Conversely, third-party sellers on Seller Central have had to fend for themselves since day one, with a bit of help from seller support. There are many ways sellers can network and educate themselves on the best strategies and practices to drive sales on Amazon. Millions of sellers have taught themselves to be proficient users, have tried and tested various selling strategies, and have formed seller communities with robust help across the web and around the globe.

Welcome to Vendor Society. Launched in 2017, our goal is to create a vendor community where brands can find answers, support, and community. A place with learning materials alongside a network of vendors to meet, collaborate, and share ideas.
In 2021, we upgraded the platform and rebranded to align with our other site, eCommerce Nurse. We’ve reintroduced our popular event and have added more content tailored to vendors. Meet our founder.
To learn how we began, we’ll need to introduce our CEO and Founder Carina McLeod. As a former Amazon UK Vendor Manager, no one understands the vendor platform like someone who helped build it. Carina spent more than 7 years working in vendor management, across multiple product categories including Home and Garden, Personal Care, Sports and Fitness, Watches and Apparel. Carina’s speciality was launching new product categories into the UK market. She was part of the team tasked with onboarding clients when Vendor Central first launched in the United Kingdom.
Since 2013, Carina has owned an Amazon consultant business to help both vendors and sellers thrive and grow their brands on Amazon all over the globe. Carina saw a demand for vendor-specific content and the need to give vendors support to navigate the ever-changing Amazon platform. She understood the need to put them on the road for success, so vendors don’t get left behind while sellers thrive.
